Always! No matter how old they are.
They grow up way to fast. Before you know it they have moved out and the chance to kiss them goodnight has passed you by. ~ Julie Herdman
I never fail to get a kiss in when my little boy is sleep. Sometimes he’ll call out, “I love you Mom.” while he is half sleep. ~ Satice James
I worked as a parole officer for a few years. One night I was assigned with another P.O. to report to the emergency room and keep tabs on a parolee who was drugged up and due to be released into our custody (for arrest). Suddenly, I noticed ED personnel were rushing around and making ready for something. I overheard a nurse say “pediatric code inroute”. My heart fell. Having medical and emergency people as family and friends, I knew what this meant. My partner was clueless. That is until the rig pulled up and the gurney comes rushing in with the EMT on top of a 10 yr old boy who just fell out at home. Parents showed up shortly thereafter and were inconsolable. All I could think about was how much I wanted to just go home and hug my kids. And as soon as I could, I did. Don’t forget this, folks. You will regret it if you forget, once. ~ William Andrews
